What Services Do We Offer?
We have a 24 hour helpline, answered by an experienced nurse, who will be able to answer your questions and arrange examinations as needed.
Calls to our landline during working hours will be answered by our receptionist who will forward your call to the most appropriate person to assist.
We provide 24 hour medical examinations for survivors of recent rape or sexual assault. This can include forensic examinations, medical examinations, STI and pregnancy prophylaxis.
For less recent assaults we will see patients during the day, and can offer medical examinations, STI checks and pregnancy prophylaxis. We have dedicated clinics for this purpose (adult patients weekly and children and adolescents on a fortnightly basis) however we can meet with patients if needed outside of these clinics.
We are in this together. Counselling will be facilitated for all children and adolescents who present following an assault for on-going support. Counselling can also be facilitated for adults who have experienced sexual assault or abuse, if they haven't already engaged in this type of therapy.
We can also offer ACC funded support for eligible carers of children and adolescents who have been sexually assaulted or abused.
Our service is Bay wide and wherever possible we will try to see the survivor near to their home.
